Through the Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS), IAFBA provides monthly financial support at prescribed rates to the bereaved families of serving and retired Air Force personnel. This assistance is extended for 15 years in the case of death while in service and for 8 years in the case of death after retirement, calculated from the date of the member’s demise.

FAS - 97

Deceased Air Veterans who retired before the introduction of the scheme on 01 April 1997, or those who were in service and retired on or before 31 March 2009.

FAS - 09

Deceased Air Veterans who retired between 01 April 2009 and 31 December 2019 (both dates inclusive).

Deceased Air Veteran who retired on or after 01 Jan 2020.
